Violet Sorcerer’s Vestments Can Call an Arcane Elemental

Pieces of the Violet Sorcerer’s Vestments were found in the City of Dalaran dungeon. The reported bonuses build from Arcane Resistance at two pieces and Spirit at three, to a chance at four pieces to keep 15% of Mana regeneration going while casting for 15 seconds. The Mana-regeneration amount is doubled in Strongholds and Cities.[1]

The report describes the gear as Mage-themed but says other casters can benefit from its stats, including Intellect and increased Spell Damage. Its most distinctive feature is the five-piece proc: damaging spells can call an Arcane Elemental to help in combat. That could add a temporary combat companion for casters who do not normally use summoned pets, such as Mages or Shadow Priests.[1]

The roughly 20-second duration is an observed impression, not a stated tooltip value. The source does not give a proc rate or further details about the elemental’s abilities, so how often it appears and how much it contributes in a fight remain open questions.[1]
