WoW: Forever Opens to Everyone for an October 19 Stress Test
Anyone with a WoW account can join the short test without a subscription or beta access. Here are the regional start times, how to install it, and what gets wiped afterward.
WoW Forever NewsWhen to join—and what the test is for
The October 19 test starts at 2:00 p.m. PDT in North America, 19:00 CEST in Europe, 06:00 KST in Korea on October 20, and 05:00 CST in Taiwan on October 20. Blizzard says the window may end earlier or run later as needed; the beta will go offline shortly before the test and is expected to return afterward.[2]
The test moves players onto the regional hardware intended for the live game. Blizzard asks participants to quest, trade, chat, and group up to help uncover problems ahead of launch—so the short session is a practical server check, not a preview with lasting characters.[1]
How to get in, and what happens after
In Battle.net, choose World of Warcraft, select “World of Warcraft: Forever Stress Test” under In Development, install it, then launch when the test begins and pick an available realm. Blizzard recommends updating graphics drivers and the Battle.net app first.[2]
All characters, names, and guilds created for the test will be wiped when it closes. The beta is expected to reopen afterward; the stress-test wipe is separate from the upcoming name-reservation period, which begins October 27 for eligible pack purchasers.[2][1]
