A podcast hint and inaccessible entrances across Azeroth point to possible future content—but the portals do not confirm what will arrive.

A hint, not a roadmap

On Episode 5 of the WoW Forever Podcast, Clay Stone said the team is laying groundwork for the future and pointed to manors and inconspicuous instance portals players may have noticed. He said more would be shared in time, without naming a release or confirming what any particular entrance will become.[1]

Portals in the world

Some of the clearest examples are in Bael Modan in the Barrens and the Rustmaul Dig Site in Thousand Needles, where hidden dungeon portals sit among dwarven excavation sites. The report connects both settings to existing local story material, but does not establish that either portal is a confirmed upcoming dungeon.[1]

Farholde Keep in Riverglades has another portal near the shore, while an entrance at the Dwarven Farm in Wetlands currently leads nowhere. Shaper’s Terrace in Un’Goro is described as a new max-level dungeon, with its entrance area accessible and a possible raid portal visible farther inside; that raid connection remains speculation.[1]

Other possible clues

The report also notes a large upgraded Manor Mistmantle in Duskwood, though it says the manor itself has no visible instance portal. That makes it a noteworthy future-content possibility, not evidence of a specific dungeon entrance.[1]

New Avalon is present in the Forever world, but attempts to enter it send players back to Light’s Hope Chapel. The report cautions that these assets may be leftovers from Season of Discovery, even as their presence raises the possibility of that content returning.[1]

Gilneas can be seen from nearby shores, but the route is guarded by level 63 elite sharks and Worgen that kill players who make it through the water. The report frames the defenses as a mystery; it does not say what, if anything, they are protecting for future play.[1]

TL;DR

  • A developer said Forever is laying groundwork for future content, including places players may have spotted in the world.[1]
  • Several beta locations contain hidden or inaccessible portals, but their presence alone does not confirm a dungeon or raid is planned for each one.[1]
